Related technologies such as local storage, session storage, and tracking pixels do similar jobs and are covered by this page too.

What this website currently uses
This template ships without analytics, advertising, or profiling cookies. There is no tag manager, no advertising pixel, and no cross-site tracking.
Anything the site remembers while you browse — form entries you have typed, a section you have expanded — is held in browser memory for that visit and is gone when you close the tab.

What changes when you add services
Common additions to a contractor website bring their own cookies. Before enabling any of these, list them individually on this page with their purpose, provider, and lifetime:
Website analytics, to understand which pages people visit and how they arrive.
Embedded maps showing a service area or office location.
Embedded video, for project walkthroughs or company introductions.
A hosted form or booking backend that handles estimate requests.
Live chat or callback widgets.
Advertising and remarketing pixels from search or social platforms.
Review platform widgets that pull in ratings from an external service.

Consent
Strictly necessary cookies can be set without consent. Analytics, preference, and marketing cookies generally cannot — in many jurisdictions they require informed consent before they load, together with an easy way to withdraw it later.

Managing cookies in your browser
You can see, block, and delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies will break parts of many websites, though this one will still work.

Safari — Settings, then Privacy, where you can block cookies and manage stored website data.
Firefox — Settings, then Privacy & Security, under Cookies and Site Data.
Edge — Settings, then Cookies and site permissions.
On mobile, the equivalent controls sit in your browser app's settings.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers can send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Because this template sets no tracking cookies, there is nothing here for such a signal to switch off.
